Project notes

Radio Sentry explores private scanner-audio capture, replay, and archival workflows. The project is intended to help authorized listeners find and replay traffic after a transmission ends.

Development has explored Mac capture, iPhone and iPad listening, private Hub infrastructure, and desktop broadcaster concepts. Cross-platform delivery, hosting, access management, retention, and field testing remain unfinished.

Radio Sentry is not currently available as a supported public service or a packaged production system.

What’s being built

  • Capture voice-active scanner audio and save replayable clips.
  • Browse recent traffic by feed and source from authorized listener devices.
  • Keep a local Mac archive with playback, deletion, and interrupted-file repair.
  • Add optional transcripts after audio has been safely saved.
  • Publish through a private self-hosted Hub with authenticated access.
  • Support iPhone and iPad listener workflows in the current Apple pilot.
  • Use pilot broadcaster clients on macOS, Windows, and Linux while packaging and validation continue.
