Switch Desk Pro

Privacy policy

Effective date:

Effective October 2, 2026. This notice describes the current Switch Desk Pro development build by Erik Davidson.

What stays on your device

Scenes, imported images and audio files, mixer settings, output settings, and recordings are stored locally. The app does not include developer-operated accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking. Stream keys are stored in Apple Keychain on the device and are excluded from project exports.

Camera, microphone, and screen access

The app requests camera and microphone access when you enable those inputs. On Mac, it requests screen-recording permission when you enable display capture. Captured content is used to compose the program output. You control when to record or stream.

Streaming and sharing

When you start a stream, your selected video and output audio mix, stream credentials, and network connection information are sent directly to the server you configure. That service’s privacy policy applies. Prefer RTMPS to encrypt the connection. When you share a recording or project, your selected destination receives that file.

Removing your data

Delete local recordings and project files through Files or Finder. Clear the stream-key field and save it to remove the stored key. Device backups may retain app files according to your Apple backup settings. No developer account deletion is needed because the app has no developer-operated account.

Support and website

If you email support, your email address and the information you send are used to respond. Avoid including stream keys. This website’s hosting provider processes ordinary connection information needed to serve the site. Its Google Fonts stylesheet contacts Google to load fonts; the native app does not use Google Fonts or contact Google for fonts.

Browser sources

When you choose Load URL, WebKit loads the page you specified. That page and its services receive the connection and request information needed to serve it, and their privacy practices apply. Browser sources use a nonpersistent web session. Project imports do not load web URLs automatically. Browser visuals can appear in your recordings and outputs; web audio is not captured.

Local-network projectors

When you start LAN projection, the app serves video on your local network at a link containing a session key. Anyone on that network with the link can view the feed until sharing stops. This video-only connection uses HTTP and is intended for trusted networks. No developer-operated relay receives the feed. Local projector windows display on the device or connected Mac displays you choose.
