DepoKit: Legal Video Tools (“DepoKit,” “the app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a local-first video utility for macOS and iPadOS. This Privacy Policy explains how DepoKit handles information when you use the app.

Information We Collect
DepoKit does not collect personal data.
The app does not require an account, does not track users, does not use third-party advertising, and does not use third-party analytics SDKs.
Local File Processing
DepoKit works with video and audio files that you choose to import or open. These files remain on your device unless you choose to export or save a new file to a location you select.
DepoKit may read local file information in order to provide app features. This may include:
- File name - File path - File size - File duration - File timestamps - Media metadata - Video preview frames used for local analysis
This information is used only to provide features such as preview, metadata review, timestamp tools, compression, audio export, merging, and safe export naming.
Original Files
DepoKit is designed to avoid modifying or overwriting original files. Exported files are saved as new files using a suffix or automatic numbering.
Visible Date Stamp Reading
If you enable visible date stamp reading, DepoKit may analyze video frames on your device to detect a visible date or time stamp. This processing is performed locally using Apple system technology.
Video frames are not uploaded to us.
Settings Stored on Your Device
DepoKit may store app preferences on your device, such as theme selection, export suffixes, default formats, compression defaults, and other settings.
These preferences are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us.
Data Sharing
DepoKit does not sell, rent, trade, or share personal data because the app does not collect personal data.
Internet and Cloud Uploads
DepoKit does not upload your videos, audio files, metadata, or exported files to our servers.
The app is designed to process user-selected files locally on your device.
Apple Services
If you download DepoKit from the App Store, Apple may process information related to your download, purchase, device, crash reports, diagnostics, or App Store usage according to Apple’s own privacy policies and your device settings.
That information is handled by Apple, not by DepoKit.
Children’s Privacy
DepoKit is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Deletion
Because DepoKit does not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no account data for us to delete.
You can delete files, exports, and app data from your own device at any time.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above.
