This Privacy Policy describes how Exhibit Director handles information when you use the Exhibit Director macOS app.
Exhibit Director is designed as a local Mac app for presenting PDFs, images, video, audio, and other exhibit materials. The app is built to work with files you choose on your Mac.
Summary
Exhibit Director does not collect personal information for advertising, analytics, tracking, or resale.
The app does not require an account, does not use third-party analytics SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Information We Collect
Exhibit Director does not collect personal information directly from users.
The app may access files and folders that you choose to open, including PDFs, images, video files, audio files, and related exhibit materials. This access is used only so the app can display, annotate, present, and export the materials you selected.
Your exhibit files remain on your Mac unless you choose to save, export, move, or share them using macOS or another app.
Local App Data
Exhibit Director may store local preferences on your Mac, such as display settings, toolbar preferences, recent workflow settings, exhibit codes, annotation settings, or similar app configuration data.
This information is stored locally to make the app work properly and remember your preferences. It is not sold or used for advertising.
Exhibit Files and Case Materials
Exhibit Director does not upload your exhibit files, case materials, annotations, stamps, or presentation content to a server operated by us.
Any PDFs, images, audio, video, markups, stamps, or exported files are handled locally on your Mac, unless you choose to share or transfer them yourself.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Exhibit Director may offer subscriptions or purchases through the Mac App Store.
Payments, billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple through the App Store. Exhibit Director uses Apple's StoreKit system to verify purchase status and unlock app access.
We do not receive your full payment card number or full Apple ID payment details.
Apple may process purchase and account information according to Apple's own privacy policy and App Store terms.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Exhibit Director does not use third-party analytics services, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or cross-app tracking.
Exhibit Director does not sell user data.
Network Use
Exhibit Director is intended to function locally on your Mac for its core presentation features.
The app may communicate with Apple systems for App Store purchase, subscription, or receipt verification features when using the Mac App Store edition.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing.
We may disclose information only if required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
Children's Privacy
Exhibit Director is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
You control which files and folders you open in Exhibit Director.
You can remove local files, exported files, and app data from your Mac using macOS controls. You can manage App Store subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.
